Ben Folds Five Times

SYDNEY, AU--Musician Ben Lee folded five copies of The New York Times into thirty-seconds before depositing them into a recycling bin in Cabravale Park.

"I had just got off the phone with Darren Jessee [former drummer of Ben Folds Five]," Lee explained. "He was bragging that his percussive skills are so tight, people used to boil eggs to his playing. I told him my band is looser than that. You don't need to replicate the exact timing of the studio version in live performances. The fans understand. Hell, they appreciate it."
