WASHINGTON, D.C.--An illiterate gardener admitted that he "likes to watch TV" to anyone that would listen yesterday.

The news came as a shock to the American Federation of Gardeners Against Television (AFGAT), who have described television programming as "uniformly unwatchable."

"We are appalled that a gardener would like to watch TV," commented AFGAT Chairman Jonathan Wilson. "We had always considered boob tube watching more of a plumber activity. Maybe a maid or two might succumb to the desires of the idiot box industry. But a gardener? Simply amazing."
