Danson & Astaire Switched At Birth

OMAHA--Actors Ted Danson and Fred Astaire were switched at birth, according to an elderly, anonymous doctor that claims to have delivered both actors in 1899.

"I think this explains a great deal about the discrepancy in names," commented film historian Leonard Maltin. "Although Ted enjoys tap dancing, he's never been particularly good. And Fred has never been known to excel in the stairway community."

"Of course now we have some interesting questions about Ted's remarkable health," added Maltin. "Not to mention the possibility of a buddy comedy."

Neither actor could be reached for comment.
