Andruw Jones' Spelling Errors Contribute to Braves Loss

by will clark

ATLANTA--The Atlanta Braves suffered a third loss to the San Francisco Giants last night, canceling several Georgian ballplayers' travel plans. Experts attribute the loss to the "Braves' less-than-stellar offense", the "Giants' pitching staff stepping up their game", Giants' left fielder "Barry Bonds' insatiable hunger for depth", and "Andruw Jones' undeniable spelling problems".

"I don't know how they do things in the Dutch Antilles, but in America we spell my name with an "e"," said St. Louis Cardinals' starter Andrew "Andy" Benes, who is likely to pitch to the Giants on Saturday.

Experts also expressed concern about Jones sharing the same last name with a fellow outfielder named "Chipper".
