The new crop of Channel 101 shows are out. And the seventh episode of “Yacht Rock” again topped the charts. Deservedly so. After last month’s misstep involving a Jethro Tull-themed historical piece, it was good to see a lovely sidestep involving hip hop-themed post piece.

Also worthy of note is the return of the rather amusing “McCourt’s in Session” and the painfully broad, yet deeply satisfying “Classroom,” featuring a guest appearance from Dan Harmon. Less pleasing is the continued support of the mediocre of “The Wastelander” and the deeply flawed “Commander-in-Chief” parody newcomer “Pretty President.”

And let’s shed a silent tear for the dearly departed “Channel 101: The Musical,” which although it ended on something of a mixed note, did feature the death of Sarah Silverman. If only.

As if in lock-step, Channel 102 also screened, with the phenomenal “Puppet Rapist” again coming out on top. Deservedly so. Christopher Ford, one of the minds behind the brilliant Werewolf Solution, is on to something big here.

The pilot called “Cakey! The Cake From Outer Space” is very funny and very quotable. But the third installments of “Running from Johnny Law” and “The Outer Limit” are showing age. And “Raising Sophie” is about as good as “Pretty President.” Which is to say it isn’t. Oh, how I long for the days of “The Widower” and “Teen Homicide.” Oh, how I wish the “Lost” parody “Fucked” had made the primetime.
