“Time for a new doctor” is the correct answer. No excuse for burdening patients with a much more expensive version of something, just to feather their own nests. My doctor has suggested several variations on drugs to combat a particular issue, but she is very open to the “cost” argument, and only argues with me when she thinks I am missing something that is medically important.

Poor Deb, hope she’s feeling ok now. Was she planning on going drug free?
Did they seriously say they didn’t want to wake the anesthesiologist? Do they only have one?

1) whose vomit was on your clothes? I didn’t have to change in either of the births I attended.

2) I distinctly remember that there is a point where it’s too late to ask for drugs. at least the epidural. And birth #2 arrived much later than the nurses initially anticipated.

I always toss the poor creature. I’ve never tried it but heard that surgery on those tiny things is obscenely expensive, seems a tough price to pay considering it’s kitty’s way of showing “love” for you.

Pharmacies generally do push you to the cheaper and generic versions of drugs. The doctor, knowing your insurance didn’t cover that drug should have changed the prescription unless there was good cause. Sounds like his cause was more kickback from the pharmaceutical co and sales reps.

I take one drug that has a generic out there, but I’ve stuck w the non generic as my doctor suggested, and it’s not too bad w insurance. Oh, and the fact that I’m pretty sure my pharmacy has incorrectly billed me for the medicine (in my favor) for the past few years, so I don’t want to mess w a good thing.

“rich” is part of what I was guessing was the doctor’s assumption about you, not what I believe about your financial status.
